一百六十年前，来自中国的淘金者，为了节省向维州政府缴付不公平的人头税，结果于南澳鱼港小镇 Robe 登陆，再徒步行走去维州的金矿工作。 大家从这件事可以看出当时的中国人所面对的困境是多严重。 今年是从 Robe 徒步前去 Ballarat 的 160 周年纪念，所以维州澳华社区议会组织了一系列活动去纪念这件事，其中一个叫做重走淘金路 向罗布之路致敬的活动，于 5 月 6 日开始，一直到 5 月 25 日完结。温楚良就这项活动访问了维州多元文化厅长 Robin Scott、澳华社区议会主席陈振良先生及议会顾问刘秀凤女士。

纪念华人罗布之行160周年系列活动媒体发布会圆满举行 由澳洲维州澳华社区议会主席陈振良，澳华社区议会顾问委员会主席林美丰州议员召集的纪念华人罗布之行160周年系列活动媒体发布会于3月8日周三，在澳大利亚墨尔本市中心的维州议会大厦举行。

3月8日下午，纪念“罗布淘金之路”160周年系列活动的启动仪式在Parliament 拉开帷幕。澳华社区议会将以一系列不同形式的活动，在纪念这一伟大历史事件的同时，弘扬华人在澳洲多元文化社会中做出的重要贡献，及其独一无二的历史和社会地位。聚澳传媒受邀出席并做报道。

在这 2017“罗布淘金之路”160 周年纪念之际，澳华社区议会将以一系列不同形式的活动，在纪念这一伟大历史事件的同时，弘扬华人在澳洲多元文化社会中做出的重要贡献，及其独一无二的历史和社会地位。

六月十六日下午，正值歡慶中國傳統的端午節期間，墨爾本市中心聯邦廣場著名的滿江紅中餐廳里高朋滿座，由澳華全國婦女會和澳華社區議會維州分會聯合舉辦的2013年跨文化端午節茶話會正在熱烈地舉行。本次會議突破了以往華人論壇的傳統習慣，改為由包括華裔社團和其他少數民族社團在一起發表演講和討論的新模式，不同背景、不同文化，不同信仰的多民族與會者在一起就大家關心的涉及婦女、家庭、老年等諸問題進行了深入的探討和介紹。是一次別開生面的跨文化聚會。
