The Victorian Government is supporting small business owners, their employees and trusted advisers with helpful tools and services through Headway – a wellbeing initiative for small businesses. A range of free services are available including business advice, financial counselling, and mental health and wellbeing support.
Congratulations to Guosheng Chen (陈杨国生) and June Anderson (陈东军) on becoming inductees to the inaugural Victorian Multicultural Honour Roll 2022.
We appreciate their dedication and service to the multicultural communities over many years.
Guosheng Yang Chen is a community leader who has dedicated nearly 40 years in Australia to promoting multilingual and multicultural education. She contributes to multiculturalism in Victoria through her work in higher education, community engagement, and strategic advisory groups, such as the Department of Education and Training’s Victoria Workforce and Planning Group.
Guosheng applies her leadership and expertise to the development and implementation of multilingual and multicultural policies.
June Anderson is the founder and former president of the Australian Asian Business Women’s Association. She has generated opportunities for multicultural communities to network and establish relationships, especially with women from Chinese, Korean, European, Indian, Jewish and African communities.
June raises funds to support vulnerable women facing sudden illness, family issues and disability. Through training and cultural language discussion groups, she has helped migrant women build confidence, consider new business opportunities, and integrate into multicultural Victoria.
Congratulations to Ms. Sally Sitou MP (陈莎莉) for winning the Federal Seat of Reid and to Mr. Sam Lim MP (林文清) for winning the Federal Seat of Tangney in the Federal Election held on 21 May 2022.

Federal candidates for Chisholm Gladys Liu MP (Liberal), Carina Garland (Labor), Sarah Newman (Greens), Wayne Tseng (Independent) have been invited to deliver their speeches and answer questions from voters at the forum. Gladys Liu MP, Carina Garland and Wayne Tseng have confirmed their attendance. Sarah Newman would be unavailable due to other commitments. The forum will be moderated by Mr Michael Bachelard – The Age’s Deputy Editor. Professor Charles Qin will be the translator for this forum.
Chinese Community Roundtable on Federal Election 2022

Migration Council Australia (MCA) has developed MyaAus App – a free multilingual app (含中文) that contains information for settling in Australia. The MyAus App can be downloaded from Apple Store or Google Play on your mobile phone.
