CCCAV Condemns Nazi Salutes Outside Victorian Parliament House

The news reports of a group of neo-Nazi individuals displaying Nazi salutes outside Victorian Parliament House on Saturday 18 March 2023 deeply disturbed and appalled us. We strongly condemn this behaviour, which aimed to degrade, instill fear in and incite hatred towards our LGBTIQA+ and Jewish communities.
We support the call for the Victorian government to ban these disgusting Nazi salutes. Every member of our society deserves to feel safe and respected, and we reject all forms of racism, antisemitism, and prejudice.
We stand in solidarity with the Jewish and LGBTIQA+ communities and are committed to working together with all communities to put an end to racism and prejudice, and to build a society where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
